The Cambodian car market is beginning its transition to electric mobility, carried by a rapidly expanding middle class and a growing sensitivity to environmental issues. In that context, Leapmotor wanted to establish a strong digital presence in Cambodia through its local distributor, with a clear objective: transpose the brand's premium, technological world onto a website adapted to the specifics of the local market.
The challenge was multiple. First, it meant faithfully respecting the design system of the main Leapmotor site while adapting it to the constraints of the Cambodian market, to guarantee brand consistency internationally. The site also had to be fully bilingual (English and Khmer), which required rigorous handling of Khmer typography, layouts adapted to both scripts and a fluid user experience whichever language was chosen. Finally, the range of electric vehicles had to be presented in an immersive, premium way, from the C10, an intelligent family SUV built on the LEAP 3.0 architecture, to the T03, a compact and accessible city car, with visual quality worthy of automotive industry standards.
Building the site took 12 weeks in total: 4 weeks for branding and UX/UI design, and 8 weeks for development in both languages.
