Waste management is a subject as essential as it is thankless: little valued in the collective imagination, often perceived as technical, anxiety-inducing or preachy. In Cambodia, where economic growth comes with a rapid rise in waste production and still emerging regulation, Little Green Spark offers deliberately simple, low-cost and low-tech solutions, designed to be adopted easily by organisations with very different means: SMEs, factories, NGOs, international schools or multilateral organisations.
Their communication challenge was therefore twofold: establish genuine technical credibility (audits, training methodology, monitoring and evaluation frameworks) while making a subject perceived as austere feel warm, engaging and even, yes, fun. The point was not to water down the message, but to prove that this subject does not need a solemn tone to be taken seriously, and that a spark is sometimes all it takes to trigger real behavioural change inside a company.
Building the site took 9 weeks of work: branding and UX/UI design represented 4 weeks, and development 5 weeks.

4. Web Development and CMS
The site was developed in Webflow, with a CMS allowing the Little Green Spark team to publish new client case studies, educational resources and training news independently, without technical help. Particular care went into keeping pages light and fast to load, and into the mobile experience, a key issue for a Cambodian audience that mostly browses the site from a smartphone. A simplified contact form was integrated to make quote and audit requests easier.
