Brand and website redesign for a tutoring centre in Cambodia, serving international school students

Our client, a tutoring centre providing private teachers to international school students in Cambodia, was facing a rather weak and dated brand image. They were looking to strengthen their visual identity in order to stand out in a competitive market, and to modernise their website to offer a better user experience.

Problem

In a sector where trust and credibility are paramount, it was crucial for the client to have a strong, memorable visual identity. They also wanted their website to be user-friendly and to reflect the human side of their service by showcasing the faces of teachers and students. Another challenge lay in the diversity of nationalities among the site's visitors, coming from different countries around the world and displaying varied user behaviour. The new version of the platform had to appeal to different personalities.

Building the site took 8 weeks: branding and UX/UI design took 4 weeks, and development required 4 weeks of work.

Solution

1. Defining the visual identity: We worked with the client to establish a unique colour palette reflecting their modern approach to education while remaining appealing to their target audience. We also redesigned their logo to make it more modern and professional.

2. Optimising the user experience (UX): we analysed the user journey on the existing website and identified the friction points. By working on the information architecture and the navigation, we improved the overall user experience to make finding a teacher and booking an appointment easier

3. Designing the user interfaces (UI): Building on the visual identity we had defined, we created appealing, intuitive interface mockups. That included modern layouts, elegant typography and eye-catching visual elements to engage visitors from the moment they arrive on the site. To strengthen visitors' trust, we placed the faces of teachers and students at the centre of the platform. That added a human touch and allowed visitors to connect better with the service on offer.

Branding and UX/UI design represented roughly 3 weeks of work.

4. Development in Webflow: We selected Webflow for the website build because of its flexibility and its excellent performance. That allows the client to easily edit and update the site's content themselves in future, without needing advanced technical skills.

Results

The redesign of the visual identity and the website considerably improved how the brand is perceived and led to greater user engagement. Humanising the platform strengthened visitors' trust and made it easier to convert prospects into clients. The client now has a memorable visual identity and a modern, functional website to support their continued growth in the tutoring sector. Since going live, the centre receives an average of 22 appointment requests per month, with an average load time of 1.5 seconds.
